This test assesses the proficiency of a PC (desktop) technician in installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading PCs running the Windows operating system (Windows 7, 8 and 8.1) on a network. It covers knowledge of personal computer hardware and peripherals, operating systems, network design, protocols, and security. It includes diagnosing and troubleshooting PC and network problems in addition to preventive maintenance activities.
