This test assesses the proficiency of a PC (desktop) technician in installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading PCs running the Windows operating system (Windows 10) on a network. It covers knowledge of personal computer hardware and peripherals, operating systems, network design, protocols, and security. It includes diagnosing and troubleshooting PC and network problems in addition to preventive maintenance activities. This is a test for general support, mostly what is handled by a Tier 1 help desk.
