Technical Job Family Assessment
This psychometric assessment measures the thinking style, personality dynamics, motivational factors,
and behavioral tendencies that underpin strong engagement and performance in technical roles. While
this assessment does not test knowledge in any particular technical area, it measures the Problem-
Solving, Thinking Styles, Interpersonal Dynamics and Personal Organization/Self-Regulation required to
perform at high levels across roles in the tech space. This assessment takes approximately 50 minutes to
complete.
The competency measured on this assessment:
Abstract Reasoning: the ability to recognize patterns, make logical connections, and extrapolate from
given information to form new conclusions and solve problems in new or novel contexts
Computational Thinking: approaching problems and designing solutions in a way that aligns with the
principles and concepts of computer science and programming. This involves analyzing complex
problems, breaking them down into smaller, more manageable parts, and using algorithmic thinking to
develop logical and efficient solutions
Attention to Detail: Tendency toward a focused approach to ensure accuracy and completeness in all
aspects of work. Where precision and accuracy are paramount, attention to detail plays a vital role in
preventing errors, maintaining quality, and achieving optimal outcomes
Information Seeking: propensity to actively and strategically search for relevant and reliable
information to support decisionmaking, problem-solving, and continuous learning. This encompasses the
ability to identify, evaluate, and leverage various resources to gather accurate and up-to-date information
necessary for successful technical performance.
Ideation & Creativity: Generating and applying novel ideas, concepts, and solutions to address
complex problems and drive technical advancements. This involves the ability to think critically, break
through traditional boundaries, and approach challenges from fresh perspectives.
Persisting: Maintaining a strong and unwavering commitment to achieving desired outcomes, even in
the face of difficulties and setbacks. It involves the ability to stay focused, motivated, and resilient when
encountering challenges throughout the course of technical projects or problem-solving endeavors.
Collaborating: Working effectively with others, fostering teamwork, and leveraging collective
intelligence to achieve shared goals. This encompasses the ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders
to solve complex problems, innovate, and deliver high-quality technical outcomes

technical and non-technical audiences, listen actively, and adapt communication styles to ensure mutual
understanding.

quality technical support, guidance, and solutions. This encompasses a customer-centric mindset,
responsiveness, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service experiences.

positive change, innovation, and continuous improvement. It encompasses a mindset of personal
ownership, resourcefulness, and a willingness to take on new challenges.
. The Secure Evaluation Mode and Remote versions of this test will contain a minimum of 100
questions and will require a typical time of 90 minutes. The Secure Interview Mode and QwikChek
versions will provide as many questions as the test taker can answer within an approximate 13 minute
time limit.
