This test is designed for IT professionals to measure proficiency in using ASP.NET Core 1.0 to build web applications that can be run across platforms (Windows, Apple and Linux). It measures understanding of the ASP.NET Core 1.0 framework and the ability to use ASP.NET Core 1.0 features to configure, develop, maintain and deploy scalable and reliable ASP.NET web applications and web services and to manage web users. It also evaluates knowledge of C# 6.0 and Visual Studio 2015 for building ASP.NET web applications. (NOTE: ASP.NET Core 1.0 was previously known as ASP.NET 5. In addition, a separate test for ASP.NET Core using Visual Basic will be available when support for the language becomes available.)
