Internet of things, or IoT, is a network of physical interrelated devices which connect and facilitate data exchanges with other IoT devices and the cloud. IoT devices are embedded with technology such as sensors and software and include mechanical and digital machines and consumer objects. These technologies permit the collection and sharing of data. This assessment examines the fundamental principles of IoT including managing IoT hardware, security protocols, and the edge deployment process.
